I graduated in Agricultural Sciences, and I currently carry out my research activity at the CNR Institute of Food Production Sciences, at the Milan site, of which I am responsible. My research activity is focused on multiple topics related to agri-food microbiology with reference to the characterization of food microbial populations and metabolic activities of pathogenic, alterative, and beneficial microorganisms for the improvement of quality, safety, shelf-life, and functional characteristics of foods. As part of the New Riff project, I am responsible for microbiological analysis of insects, diet and trout in relation to safety aspects and am involved in outreach activities.
